Who is SIMBAYANAN NI MARIA MULTI-PURPOSE COOPERATIVE?

SIMBAYANAN NI MARIA MULTI-PURPOSE COOPERATIVE started as a parish-based Cooperative at Our Lady of Holy Rosary Parish on 1991. It was on June 25, 1991 that the cooperative was fully organized. It was headed by then parish priest Rev. Fr. Anton Cecilio T. Pascual together with the thirty three (33) founding members with sixteen thousand pesos (16,000.00) as starting capital. The objective in establishing the cooperative is to fight against poverty, lifting and enriching the lives of Taguigenos.

In 2004, the 4-storey building at 115 MLQ Street, Purok 2, New Lower Bicutan was fully established and became the main office. It was inaugurated in 2005, attended by President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and blessed by Most Rev. Francisco San Diego, First Bishop of the Diocese of Pasig. In recent years of relentless service to the membership and cooperative movement, the Church has set an example of real changes. It has been proven by various recognitions not only in the City of Taguig but also in National Capital Region, as the MOST OUTSTANDING COOPERATIVE in 2019 by the Cooperative Development Authority.
